To honor Chief Plenty Coups and in keeping with his wishes to make this a park “for all people”; the Friends of Chief Plenty Coups Advisory Council will work to provide support for Chief Plenty Coups State Park in its role as a cultural bridge which honors the cultural heritage of the Crow and their historical and continuing relationship to people of other cultural backgrounds.
The Friends will work with Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks (MFWP), following their guidelines and goals to develop new opportunities and new activities for the enjoyment of our cultural resources. The Friends will preserve, protect and interpret the cultural heritage of the Crow.
The Friends will work to ensure that Chief Plenty Coups State Park will continue to serve as a community center and educational resource that plays a unique role in cross-cultural communication and understanding for the peoples of Montana and the United States.
